WOMEN'S FUND EN ESPAÑOL

The Women’s Fund of El Paso was founded in 2004 after representatives from the YWCA
El Paso Del Norte Region, University of Texas at El Paso and Junior League of El Paso completed a study entitled “El Paso Portraits:  Women’s Lives, Potential and Opportunities” to assess the state of women in El Paso.  The study found a great disparity of income and education among women in El Paso, including 38,000 single mothers and their children.  The study became a call to action.  The Women’s Fund of El Paso was established to connect women with resources available in the community and offer educational advancement and leadership development opportunities for their economic advancement.

The Women’s Fund of El Paso promotes access to funding, information and networking to
help women receive a better education, develop critical leadership skills and achieve personal economic growth.

The Women’s Fund of El Paso was founded in 2004 to improve the status and quality of life for women and girls in the El Paso area by creating purposeful and affordable philanthropy and connecting women to the vital resources that foster education, individual leadership and economic growth.

The Women’s Fund of El Paso provides scholarships to low and moderate-income single mothers and other women to promote their educational and economic advancement and leadership development.

The Women’s Fund of El Paso promotes affordable philanthropy for all women by creating giving circles and women-centered fundraising events that encourage creativity and connectivity.

The Women’s Fund of El Paso provides networking opportunities for women through its website and on-line links to women and information.
