EL Paso Conference for Women - Lizett Lucero March 30, 2010
Lizett Lucero (Junior, Andress High School)
1. I learned that you are capable of accomplishing many things in life, especially if you really want something, and the reward for your hard work is your success.
2. I really enjoyed when the guest speaker, Felicia Hopkins, who was their to wake up every one on Saturday morning. Her speech really opened my mind and made me realize that at some point in your life you have to learn to grow up and really make life decisions that will benefit you the most, and putting your priorities before anything.
3. I believe this conference improved my leadership skills because it changed my perspective on how to approach certain situations and enjoying what you plan to pursue in the future is very important as well
4. I think what my mother and I benefited from this conference because we realized how to become a stronger individual and that there is a lot of opportunities for women, but unlike many things success isn't just handed to you, you have to strive forward to find it.
5. I would attend if i was involved in the El Paso Woman's Fund, because this conference was filled with positive energy. The women pursuing in their own business expressed great excitement for their work as well as those advertising for certain companies and that's what I feel someone should be able to experience something similar as this conference sometime throughout high school, with a guarantee they would be satisfied.
6. I would be more than happy to attend this Conference or a similar event.
7. I would recommend other girls to attend this conference
