The YWCA serves as the regional resource for early childhood development, with a commitment to consistently high-quality care. We believe that every child is special and deserves a creative learning environment to discover their hidden talents and to develop the skills needed for school readiness. We provide a safe environment and opportunities for growth to youth through after-school programs located on sixty school campuses, experimental camping programs, physical activities, and teen leadership activities. Additionally, we provide active living opportunities for people of all ages in our city-wide Health & Wellness programs with an emphasis on senior and sedentary youth.

Children's Grief Center is a non-profit organization that provides healing and hope in a safe and loving environment for grieving children, teens and their families following the death of a loved one. By sharing their experiences and feelings in a peer support group, families learn that they are not alone and that there is hope for their future.
Our goal is to promote healing and emotional wellness, with loving support and education for children, teens and their families as they move through the grieving process. We serve as a symbolic reminder that death is a part of life for everyone. |
